Our Christmas Traditions

It’s good to remind ourselves of the things that make Christmas really special, besides spending it with people you love.

A peek into our world at the most wonderful time of the year

Gifting made easy

While we like to think we’re organised when it comes to ticking presents off the shopping list, there are always a few last-minute gifts to get. For homemakers and homebodies alike, our
Great Check Rectangle Cushions make the best gifts while our Candle Shades are such a wonderful way to elevate anyone’s interiors scheme. And of course, you can never go wrong with luxurious cashmere socks or a cosy hot water bottle while a pretty piece of jewellery is a lovely keepsake. Bonus points when it’s personalised.

Game On

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a board game or three, and if you can face the squabbles that will inevitably ensue, they’re a great way to while away the time between Christmas and new year. A big family game of
Trivial Pursuit is always a good idea but if even that proves too competitive, opt for something more relaxing in the shape of a puzzle. We love something that’s as stunning as it is soothing like this one by Angela Harding. To make things more interesting serve some snacks (a cheeseboard is easy and always goes down well) and open a bottle of something delicious.

Home Sweet Home

One of the loveliest things about the Christmas break is getting to spend more time at home. For us, that means making things look suitably festive and inviting with plenty of candlelight (our
Cane Candle Holder and Candle Bouquet Collection are perfect for this) and lots of cosy corners to sink into.

Showstopper

To display our Christmassy bits and bobs, whether it’s a gingerbread house, floral arrangement or the aforementioned cheeseboard, our
Large Trays come in handy.

Christmas Decorating

If you’ve not yet found your perfect Christmas wreath, we’ve done it for you; the
Burford Co.’s traditional wreath is picture-perfect and packed with interesting foliage and charming adornments. Finally, make sure there’s somewhere for Santa’s stash to go with a gorgeous stocking from our friends at Rebecca Udall.

Santa's Coming to Town

Whether you love it or hate it, Secret Santa seems to be par for the course at Christmas these days. Whether you’re buying for family, friends or colleagues, it helps to have some ideas on hand and up your sleeve that you can turn to. For us, there’s nothing more welcoming than giving or receiving the gift of sleep and while delivering an uninterrupted eight hours might not be possible, this beautiful
eye mask we created with our friends at YOLKE ought to make achieving it that little bit easier. If sleep does prove too elusive, then a mug from the always cheering Emma Bridgewater collection is ideal for your much-needed morning coffee. If all else fails, give the gift of baby-soft hands with this intensely moisturising cream from Burt’s Bees, which is perfect for all that Christmas washing up.

Happy Christmas,

Mary & Nicole x
